We do the same when assessing Clare Valley Riesling, and the familiar fishy on the label of Pikes' ‘Traditionale’ Riesling is a welcome sight. You always know it is going to be bang on the money. Freshly squeezed limes, Christmas lilies, a flake of sea-salt on the tongue. That sapid twang and cleansing feels. So good!
