As the name suggests, the grapes for this Blaufrankish grow in preferred sites that are rich in fossil chalk and limestone (Kalkstein). Hailing from the tiny town of Gols, the wine’s earthy origins are delicately balanced with notes of cherry, red fruit and raspberry and a gentle spice that leaves a fine acid shape on the palate. This natural, organic and biodynamic barrel-aged red is a pure, expressive and balanced wine.
