Domaine Prieuré Roch

Uncompromising Expression
To be an estate in the famed Burgundy wine region is one thing. To be Domaine Prieuré Roch—well, that’s another. Since 1988, their approach has been uncompromising: biodynamic farming, whole-cluster vinification, native yeasts, no fining, no filtration. Just unadulterated expression of terroir — vivid, visceral and profoundly alive.
In the heart of Burgundy’s Most Prized Climats
Founded by the late Henry Frédéric Roch (co-director of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, no less), this estate has never chased convention. The domaine stretches across 20 hectares, with holdings in some of Burgundy’s most prized climats — including three Clos Monopole vineyards. That level of vineyard sovereignty is practically unheard of in this region. It’s not just rare — it’s revered.
Each parcel is farmed with precision and restraint, yielding only the most articulate fruit. In the cellar, a philosophy of minimal intervention prevails, allowing site and season to take centre stage. These wines don’t follow a formula — they channel a frequency. And they’re impossible to replicate.

Now under the direction of longtime winemaker Yannick Champ, the vision remains sharp: make wines of unmistakable identity, with fidelity to both land and legacy. That’s exactly what brought us this 2022 vintage. A harvest marked by balance, clarity and sheer vitality. It’s being hailed—quietly but confidently—as their most complete expression since 2002. The fruit is pristine, the structure refined, the energy electric.
As always, quantities are minuscule, and they won’t stick around.
