Chatillon is Ed Peter's (owner of Yarra Yering) hidden lovechild, squirrelled away in the French Alps. Here, 40-year-old vines are framed by snow capped mountains and freshwater lakes. It's hands on in the vineyard, but hands off in the cellar—letting wild yeasts and minimal ads do good work. And for this generous price point, it doesn't get much better.
