Why we love this Wine
Planted to Colbinabbin’s rich red clay and ancient dolerite soils in 2011 by the Chalmers family, Tim Sproal’s Colbinabbin Sangiovese packs a punch. A three-week maceration to one parcel and whole bunch carbonic to the other, plus extra extraction, the parcels meet for ten months in barrel before bottling. Reminiscent of the clasics, expect plenty of body and ripe red fruit balanced with cedar spice and grippy tannin.
