Why we love this Wine
Nerello Mascalese is one of the few grape varieties that rhymes with Patrick Swayze and for this reason alone, we’re all over this wine. Grown up around 750m above sea level on the volcanic slopes of Sicily’s Mount Etna…. Contrada Calderara and Diciasettesalme if you totally want to geek out. Or if you just want to drink, expect wildflower-flecked raspberry, plum and berry fruits entwined with spice, crushed rock, light amaro herbs and a delightful, crisp cadence and the slight swagger of tannin on the finish.
