We love this wine because…
Another smokin wine from Chiara Boschis and the excellent 2016 Northern-Italian vintage. This time, instead of a blend across a number of plots from various Barolo villages, we have a single vineyard, just 0.8 hectares within the Mosconi vineyard in Monforte d’Alba. Classic, densely structured Barolo with incredible depth of fruit cut with plinths of rigorous Nebbiolo tannin and light floral flecks of rose and violets. Deep and resonant ….. Broody even, it’s a wine that is built for the long haul and it’s composed beautifully.
