Why we love this Wine
Tim Kirk weaves his magic at Murrumbateman’s iconic Clonakilla winery and there is no doubt that their stellar Shiraz Viognier is at the pointy end of the Australian fine wine echelon. Cool climate Shiraz, co-fermented with 5% Viognier is an homage to Tim’s favourite wines of the Northern Rhône in France and we reckon the French will be casting a few nervous glances over their shoulders. Opulent, beautifully composed it is a study of fruit purity, structure and finesse. It’s an Aussie benchmark.
