Why we love this Wine
BK Wines have flipped the script on their Ripasso blend with their 2015 Shiraz in barrel, repassed on 2020 Pinot Noir skins. So sort of a Ripasso in reverse, with older wines over newer pressings. Despite the distinct lack of Italian varietals, the result is oddly Nebbiolo-esque, with violets and wild herbs and a soft, chewy tannic structure.
