Why we love this Wine
Club-Mate has been the German institution since 1924, being embraced all across Europe for being carbonated, caffeinated and lower in sugar and calories than most other energy drinks or colas. It's derived from the South American yerba-maté plant and has a notoriously unique and 'indescribable' taste – a bit smoky, a bit lemon citrus, overall soft and subtle. It's largest following has emerged within club goers, gamers and computer hackers, although it serves a higher purpose as a more health conscious energy drink or mixer. A quick Google search will uncover a plethora of cocktail recipes, although Tschunk – a concoction of Club-Mate, rum, lime and sugar – is arguably the most famous.
