Why we love this Wine
Christophe Patrice knows his way around Chardonnay. Best known for his Chablis, he gives this one the same careful treatment: whole-bunch pressed, wild fermented and raised entirely in stainless steel, with a little lees from his Chablis added for extra texture and depth. No oak, no malo. Just fresh orchard fruit, lemony citrus and a lick of chalky salinity. Bright and generous through the middle, then clean, mineral and nicely taut on the way out. A very good way to get a little Chablis energy into your glass without paying Chablis money. Grand cru thinking with a village price-tag.
