Why we love this Wine
Long live Aligoté! I used to have a t-shirt that said “In Aligoté We Trust” but I lost it. I digress. Paul Perarnau (farmer) and Willy Roulendes (winemaker) are the men behind AMI producing a range of killer wines from various climates in Burgundy from their base in Chassey-le-Camp around 4km from Bouzeron. Here, wild-fermented Aligoté struts its stuff; unfined, unfiltered and jumping with lemon verbana, citrus, red apple crunch, white flowers and marzipan. Linear and brisk with oodles of inherent glugginess.
