Why we love this Wine
With its crazy acidity, texture and tartness, you’d be forgiven for mistaking this wine for a Riesling. But don’t be fooled by its disguise — the newest X range from the legends at McLaren Vale’s Alpha Box & Dice is the grape’s German cousin Pinot Blanc (or as they call it, Weissburgunder). From the cooler vintage of 2022, it’s lean and tight at first, but with a generous, playful heart beating white blossoms, mineral spice and gooseberry through its racy veins.
