Longview
Peter Saturno and his family take the best of Italy and Austria and give them a pure Adelaide Hills papering. Long ago, their plot of undulating slopes was once a dairy farm. Now, its 65 hectares are now home to one of the country’s largest Nebbiolo plantings, spiced Barbera and juicy Dolcetto. An nod to his nonna who migrated from Fruili, Italy to Adelaide Hills in the 1930s.
These are wines for long lunches and unhurried afternoons, unexpected visitors and liberal pouring late into the evening. Reach for pasta and a fork. Salute.
