Why we love this Wine
Most Greek rosé is an afterthought. This one isn't. It's made from Limniona, an ancient indigenous red grape that was almost extinct twenty years ago until Christos Zafeirakis, fourth-generation grower in Tyrnavos, pulled it back from the brink. Organically farmed in the foothills of Mount Olympus, direct-pressed whole bunches, wild yeast, steel tank, no oak, no shortcuts. It's all wild strawberry, cranberry, white flowers and Mediterranean herbs, with a savoury grip of bitterness on the finish. Rare grape. Rarer rosé.
