Why we love this Wine
Montepulciano with distinctive territorial character from Cantina Zaccagnini; an intense, ruby red with a barely-there violet tint. The nose is super appetising, red frogs and rhubarb, marzipan and fig leaves. This feels very rustic in some ways, but the perfectly prickling tannin is dialed in with laser-like precision. Tralcetto's famous vine twined around the neck of the bottle is a charming quirk of regional Abruzzo, but beyond any superficial charms, this is simply delicious.
