The Loire Valley may not be the most written about region for Gamay, but the basalt soils of the Côtes du Forez produce intense and age-worthy, deep and inky Gamay. Mémoire de Madone is a cuvée made to rival the best of Beaujolais' crus. This masterpiece is aged in sandstone amphora for a mineral edge to balance the intense purple fruit and earthy tones. Blueberry, boysenberry and candied violets; a mémoire worth drinking.
