Why we love this Wine
The Courtesan doesn't do subtle, starting with the name and the come-hither nose that backs it up. Made by a pair of Masters of Wine chasing something more elegant in a daily drinker. This one's sourced from a single vineyard down the cooler, southern end of the Clare Valley. Grapes picked at dawn, lightly crushed, only the free-run juice kept (nothing squeezed for extra). Cool ferment in tank, a short rest on lees before bottling. Lime, elderflower, crunchy green apple, white blossom. Flirty? Yes... but means business.
