Why we love this Wine
Two terroirs, both alike in dignity. From the Derwent Valley, Granton Estate vineyard, gravelly red loam, and from the Huon Valley, Cradoc Estate Vineyard, cobblestones over white clay. If it sounds like a flex to be building a Chardonnay out of Estate-grown fruit from not one, but two, of Tassie's most hallowed regions, you're right, it is. This has all the layered complexity you'd hope to see in such a wine, and despite being matured 100% in oak, there's a stunning brightness and a freshness that well befits its springtime name.
