Pinot Meunier, perhaps most well known as the bronze medallist when ranking the three best known Champagne varieties. When embarking on a Sometimes Always home brand, we, of course, turned first to our friends at Alpha Box & Dice – we have some connections! AB&D Winemaker Sam Berketa was briefed to create an unexpected-yet-thoughtful red that will spark conversation, tingle palates and inspire smiles. His submission breathed new life into fruit from a unique Pinot Meunier vineyard in Barossa Valley – perhaps the last place you would expect to find one. Sam has crafted a table red that is upfront, light-to-medium-bodied and true to the spirit of his winemaking at AB&D. Bright. Zingy. A little grippy. Drink now.
