Why we love this Wine

There is a pretty good pie shop in Balhannah. There is also a seriously good, cool-climate Shiraz vineyard owned by the good folk at Shaw + Smith that provides the raw materials for this little beauty. It’s a finely poised, bunchey little chap. Pure of fruit in the cherry and plum spectrum and undercut with Chinese five spice, gentle oak, amaro herbs & Campari-esque, sappy/stemy goodness. Supple and just lovely drinking with a fine structure and swift cadence, finishing long and moreish.
