Why we love this Wine
Felton Road in the heart of Bannockburn, Central Otago needs little introduction. Here we have Pinot Noir from the Muikirk Vineyard, a silty site with dense clay-loam over layers of schist and quartz gravel. Translating to Pinot Noir of immense power and laser-like precision. Wild-fermented with 30% whole bunches, there's depth to this quietly confident wine. 10% new oak whispers, the soils shout. A lot of bright energy and characteristic Pinot Noir red fruits, framed by silky tannin and mineral structure. Wildly good.
