Why we love this Wine
Dry Riesling from Wine Land… Or is that Austria’s Weinland? Both feel accurate. In a winery set around a historic castle and managed by the monks of Zwettl monastery until ‘95, the organic Schloss Gobelsburg is one of Austria’s oldest wineries. This, their 2020 Riesling is generous in just-ripe stone fruit and Golden Delicious apple, with marzipan, honey and slippery slate shaping a lengthy linear structure.
