Why we love this Wine

There's a lot that Rising do well, but if we had to pick a hero, it's Chardonnay. We can reel off a spelling list of our favourite words that apply to this one; it's textural, bodied, citrussy, floral, complex, briny, flinty, fresh. Straw coloured, with pleasing green tints. We get zest, and grapefruit, and cream— and entirely carried away with ourselves. Whole-bunch pressed to French and Austrian hogsheads and puncheons, 25% new.
