Why we love this Wine
A rare gem. Pignoli is a variety requiring real patience in the vineyard. Low yielding and unpredictable, Stanko first experimentally planted this special grape in ‘98, just below their cellar on the steep Radikon vineyard. This release is farmed from a precious half hectare of mature Pignolo vines. After extended barrel and bottle cellaring, it’s revealed a defined structure, delightful dark fruit and toasty spice.
