Why we love this Wine
Iole Rabasco left the law behind to take over her family winery in the early noughties, farming 11 acres between the Adriatic Sea and the Gran Sasso mountains biodynamically. the 40+ year old vineyards she tends sit 450 metres above sea level, lofty heights loved by Abruzzo's signature styles: Montepulciano for reds and Trebbiano for whites. Strawberry scented. Pomegranate punch on the palate. Fermented traditionally with indigenous yeasts and without temperature control, before ageing in decidedly non-tradish fibreglass vessels. A breakfast wine if you dare.
