Fausto and Cinzia Cellario are 3rd generation winemakers in the western outskirts of the Langhe, making Favorita fit for all your fave folk. The 2023 La Frea is pure, clean, and pops with freshness, straight from a 500m-high vineyard. As well as mountain air, we get rockmelon, lemon, and rosewater overlaying a crisp, stony mineral backbone. Zippy acidity keeping everything very wide awake. Vermentino by another name (or at least a close cousin), this unmistakably Piedmontese wine is said to have been beloved by kings of old. Unfined, unfiltered, and unapologetically yum.
