Single-vineyard Pinot Noir from the Yarra Valley. Not just any vineyard; Wonga Park, where sandy loam tops rocky-clay subsoil. Fully destemmed fruit is wild fermented, punched-down daily for 2 weeks on skins before 9 months in old oak barrels. Leafy forest floor scents dominate the nose, with dusty bergamot and plum in the mix. A little sour cherry on the palate and balancing toasted nut complexity. A cheery elixir for any season, plenty of spring in its step.
