Why we love this Wine
Winemaker Stéphane Moreau reckons Forêts, a sub-plot within the 1er Cru Montmains, is one of the finest vineyards in Chablis; a site capable of Grand Cru quality at a fraction of the price. It’s a wine that is all about poise and precision, with piercingly pure Chardonnay fruit with notes of oyster shell, sea-spray flitting above a sapid core of white stone-fruits. If we were in prison, and of course we never will be because we are lovely; our last meal would be a bottle of this and fish and chips.
