Owen Latta is an exciting young Victorian winemaker who is quickly putting Ballarat on the vinous map with his range of funky and dangerously slurpable wines. Here, Owen tackles Pinot Gris giving it a sheen of skin contact and building some funk in the trunk. There’s spiced pear and yellow-plum characters, lemon rind, a raft of soft spice and a lovely textural and mineral-laden flight across the palate. Crisp, detailed and cracking drinking.
