Should you be sampling more Greek white blends? If you like vibrant floral aroma, slicing acid and fresh, fleshy orchard fruits in a wine, then yeah, probably. This Assyrtiko-led blend by Ktima Matsa makes the case; a charmed medley of pear, white peach and spearmint. Sauvignon Blanc and indigenous grape Roditis appear in the mix, each vinified separately before blending. Assyrtiko typically equals stacks of aroma, but there's something pleasingly restrained about this tidy tipple from the outskirts of Athens. Elegant even. Yamas.
