Why we love this Wine
Some vintages you make wine, some vintages you rescue it. 2021 brought brutal spring frosts through the Jura, and Chardonnay yields at Domaine Ganevat crashed next to nothing. Rather than write the year off, Jean-François pulled together whatever survived across every parcel on the domaine and blended it into one small, defiant cuvée. Four years on fine lees in old 600-litre barrels. Now it's all crisp apple, citrus peel and white blossom with a chalky saline minerality. A wine that shouldn't exist. Glad it does.
