Why we love this Wine
This is the extrovert of the Gut Oggau crew—Grüner Veltliner and Weissburgunder (aka Pinot Blanc) from 40-year-old vines, fermented partly on skins and raised in oak for a year. Aromatic, layered and textural, with citrus zest, tropical fruit, white pepper and a quiet floral lift. With whole cluster fermentation and 7+ months in oak, this was never going to be a quiet wine, but we go as far to call it one of Burgenland's best. Large and in-charge Austrian white.
