Why we love this Wine
From the False Cape vineyard of Kangaroo Island's eastern end, dry-grown Riesling, in the hands of Steven Crawford (of Frederick Stevenson wines, no less). The Guroo project sees Kangaroo Island grapes placed in the hands of talented mainland masters of winemaking. Unsurprisingly, we've yet to try a bad one. Hand-picked and whole bunch pressed, Steve used a wild barrel ferment before transferring the wine into stainless at the point of dryness. Textural, engaging Riesling with exquisite acid. Lychee and citrus. Absolutely unreal.
