Why we love this Wine
All Chardonnay, all Premier Cru, all good. Duménil draws fruit from Chigny-les-Roses in the Montagne de Reims, pressing gently and keeping only the first pressing — the good stuff, nothing else. Stainless steel fermentation, full malo, three years on lees before disgorgement, then a few months' rest, dosage held to a lean 7g/L. Lemon zest, grapefruit, jasmine, a mineral spine running through to a toasty, chalky finish. Blanc de Blancs, yum de yums.
