Why we love this Wine
Goodness Gamay, this is a treat. Timo Mayer and his small Yarra farm doing things unexpectedly, always. A punchy fruit spice nose continues onto the palate, where fully-formed red fruit plays with savoury and allspice. It’s a structured Beaujolais vibe - less Nouveau, more delicately drawing within the lines. This is a surprise, alright. Mischief managed, Dr Mayer.
