Why we love this Wine
Three mates in Mâcon, one rogue idea: plant Savagnin where the appellation says it simply isn't done. Melting Potes is the result—a collaborative side quest from Frantz Chagnoleau and friends, across a half-hectare of vines. The grape absolutely crushes in Mâcon's iconic terroir. White flowers, ripe pear, quince paste and crushed stone, with bright acidity pulling everything tight. There’s a cool Jura-adjacent energy to it, but softer around the edges. Mineral, textural, definitely of interest for the wine nerds. We’re into it.
