Why we love this Wine
Domaine Derain is a biodynamic producer in Burgundy with vines in a number of different Burgundian appellations. A few years ago Dominique Derain passed the torch to long-time assistant, Julien Altaber of Sextant, and today the wine remains unchanged. Easy drinking, Pinot Noir made for now. Plot twist in its making, macerated whole berry and direct pressed juice has been blended together for maximum prettiness. Translates to, a beautifully structured pinot showing notes of red berries and cherries.
