Why we love this Wine
Macedon Ranges pinot built on altitude and patience β 540 metres up, cool nights, fruit that ripens slow and holds onto its acid. Curly Flat farm with a light touch (biodynamic instincts, wild ferments, barely-there oak) and let the site do the talking rather than the winemaker. Dark cherries, plum and mulberry up front, with a savoury, charcuterie-like edge and a dusting of spice underneath. Silky tannins, real tension, properly bright acidity. Not a jammy, fruit-bomb pinot β this one's got bones. Subtly serious.
