Why we love this Wine
The Puzelat family name looms large in Loire Valley lore, as vignerons whose green thumbs have left thei big ol' fingerprints right across the region. Rouillon—"rusty"— nods to the red tinted clay-limestone soils of Cheverny, upon which Pinot Noir and Gamay were planted (back in 1991 and 1996 respectively). Organic farming and meticulous hand-harvesting go hand-in-glove with the minimal intervention approach prized at Clos du Tue-Boeuf, OG champions of the French natty wine movement. Bright raspberries pop initally in this 50/50 blended cuvee, followed by some deeper, darker fruit. She is purity, she is elegance, she is a very nice wine.
