David and Hélène Barrault took over a small vineyard overlooking the Garonne River in 1997, enjoying fantastic southern exposure ideal for the cultivation of Bordeaux's classic Merlot and Cabernet Franc, alongside rare and lesser-known local natives. The 2023 Bordeaux Rouge is 100% hand-harvested Merlot, cultivated organically since 2014 and extracted gently preserving freshness. Black cherries and plums dominate the nose, but the palate is deceptively restrained, with soft texture and spicy acid. Main course wine to linger over.
