Why we love this Wine
Something splendid by way of Beechworth, Victoria. Chris Catlow (of Sentio Wines fame) knows Beechworth terroir as well as anyone, choosing Nebbiolo vines from the slightly warmer, lower reaches of Everton Hills to craft this taut, textural flavour bomb. Leafy and luscious, with stacks of raspberry perfume right up top. Fruit is handpicked, destemmed and wild-fermented in large format, open-topped concrete. 3 weeks on skins, then pressed to Slavonian and French oak vessels for 9 months. Fine tannins for a fine old time.
