Athletes of Wine calls Grigio "just Grigio" grown-up — this drop takes it seriously. Grown by Marco Martinelli on a close-planted, high site in Cheshunt (King Valley), 350m up where mountain air rolls down most nights of the year. Four parcels split early and late, tank and old oak, then a 4% splash of riesling thrown in for grip. Pear, lemon zest, jasmine, and a slippery mineral palate. Think Alpine slopes and aprés ski rather than bogans and boardies.
