Alessandro Viola’s estate-grown Catarratto rises around 500-600m above sea level for 30 + year old vines with a height advantage. Dodging conformity, this hits out with a full-bodied skinsy style layered in citrus and apricot, wonderfully complicated by extended maceration on skins and nine months in a big ol’ chestnut botti.
