Vasse Felix are not only Margaret River’s founding winery, but also the first to discover the region’s then untapped soil, perfect for producing their now treasured cabernet sauvignon grape. The Filius ticks all the boxes. It carries the structure, power and tannins of any classic Cabernet with hallmark sour dark berry fruitage and earthy hints of sage and bay leaf. It’s world class, fruit forward and gallantly Aussie. Big red, big yes.
