Six stages, six wines. You don’t have to be roadside to taste the best of The Tour. Sometimes Always has teamed up with Rapha to bring you a selection of wines to sweep you from the Alps to the seaside streets of Nice.
As the tour takes its first twists and turns in Piedmont, uncork a generous Nebbiolo. Sip on gentle Gamay whilst riding through the sloping hills of Beaujolais and a vibrant Aligoté as you sweep through Burgundy. You’ll enjoy the mineral rich whites of the Loire, building to some of the most testing peaks of the race in the Rhone Valley. And finally, clink celebratory Champagne as they cross the line in Nice. We’re teaming up with Rapha and Hotel Centennial to bring the tastes and tales of the Tour de France to you. As the team sweeps through the mountainous terrain in the French Alps, enjoy a three course dinner with hors d'oeuvres on arrival and wines to match.
One of the most captivating and eccentric personalities in Australian wine, the infamous Jono Hersey from the French Wine Centre, will regale personal tales of each wine, while Ben Greeno does what he does best in the kitchen, and the team at Rapha delve into the spectacles of the race.
