Guest Selector ➺ Georgie Davidson-Brown
Georgie Davidson-Brown wandered into wine at just 18 years old, falling hard and fast for its many charms, and nearly 10 years later, here we are.
She’s worked alongside the industry’s best at some incredible venues; Lûmé, Hellbound Wine Bar and the late and great Jock Zonfrillo’s Restaurant Orana, to name a few. Now the Head Sommelier at Chiswick Restaurant in Woollahra, Sydney, Georgie is the person you want at your table when it comes time to pick a bottle.
Georgie is a big lover of rocks and soils, and an even bigger lover of the incredible women who make up the wine industry, which is a theme running clearly through her pack.
“I’m a firm believer that one of the most intimate moments you can have is sharing a meal and some wine with someone. Naturally, working in restaurants is a thrill, getting to jump in on these moments with hundreds of people a week, as well as guiding them through what to drink and sharing the story behind each wine– this pack is further extension of that experience.”

THE SELECTION STORIES
2017 LITTLE FRANCES ‘LAKE COUNTY’ SEMILLON
“Like Erin, I love lees, so naturally, I was drawn to these wines, which often utilise multiple vintages of lees in the winemaking. One of the most delicious Semillons out there packed with awesome texture and all that lees-richness, but cleaned up by gorgeous acidity.”
WINEMAKERS: Erin Frances Pooley
2021 VIGNERONS SCHMÖLZER & BROWN ‘BRUNNEN’ CHARDONNAY
“Tess and Jer were the first winemakers I ever met. Fresh off a bus from Melbourne for a three-day vintage, I reached Beechworth in the middle of the night, arriving to a plate of Tessa’s mum’s silverside and a glass of Nebb. Following, we plunged shiraz ferments, drank more wine, then rose at dawn to harvest this Chardonnay (but for the 2015 vintage). I love the balance of acid and richness, a hint of oak and a lot of cool-climate love.”
WINEMAKERS: Tessa Brown & Jeremy Schmölzer
2022 FLEET WINES SKINS PINOT GRIS
“Why pinot gris is still made as a white is beyond me, because let it hang on skins for even a few hours and you get this flavour-packed, generous, textural, wow drink. A perfect example: the fantastic, peachy-phenolic expression from Lisa Jenkins.”
WINEMAKER: Lisa & Justin Jenkins
2022 CHARLOTTE DALTON ‘A CHANGE IS GONNA COME’ PINOT NOIR
“I first met Charlotte when she was heavily pregnant and judging a wine show. The coolest of the cool, incredibly humble, generous with her time and knowledge. Bad-ass feminine energy goes without saying. This wine is an elegant, red-fruited expression of the Piccadilly Valley, stunning.”
WINEMAKER: Charlotte Hardy
2022 CRAVEN ‘RUSTENHOFF VINEYARD’’ CINSAULT
“Cinsault – totally underrated in my opinion. Happy in scorching hot climates, it still delivers an elegant and floral wine. I love the mid-palate concentration in Jeanine & Mick’s expression and fermentation in concrete tanks gives a cool texture.”
WINEMAKERS: Jeanine & Mick Craven
2019 CRAWFORD RIVER ‘CABERNETS’
“My introduction to Belinda’s wines was with her 2004 Reserve Riesling, which blew my socks off. I love the plushness of a Cab Franc, with the savoury, herbaceous character the Cab Sav brings. Brilliant in her winemaking, Belinda’s known to experiment with different barrel types.”
WINEMAKER: Belinda Thompson
