Why we love this Wine
Get a load of this little number...fine-as fizz rom the very same Warramate foothills Yarra Yering's Dr. Carrodus first planted in 1969. This cuvée leans on thirty-year-old Pinot Meunier for richness, propped up by Chardonnay planted in 2013 to Clone 124, a Burgundian clone bred for sparkling. Whole-bunch pressed, fermented in old oak, then six years on lees before disgorgement. Baked apple, strawberry, toasted pastry, a broad and finely textured palate. Serious winemaking under a crown seal.
