Why we love this Wine
Yangarra has a knack for making Rhône varieties feel right at home in McLaren Vale, and this four-way blend is a pretty convincing example. Grenache Gris, Grenache Blanc, Clairette and Roussanne, all grown biodynamically, picked separately and given the ceramic egg treatment. No oak in sight. Almost half the blend spends extended time on skins, bringing a little extra grip and plenty of texture to the party. Ripe apricot, quince and chamomile, with a savoury, almost tea-like finish. Definitely deserves a standing ovation.
