Why we love this Wine
Cool climate Tasmanian Pinot Noir that feels quite Burgundian in its influences—elegant and restrained. Red fruits are in the background, while warm spices like ginger, nutmeg and clove make for an intriguing nose. Woodsy florals and black tea. The palate is velvety and soft, plummy and a little earthy. The Waverley Vineyard sits to the east of Launceston, a low yielding site with a little elevation that was planted with three clones back in 2005. Approx 30% whole bunches make it into the blend, spending 11 months in French oak, for 10/10 delicious drinking. A belter.
